he Children's Swim Beach & Playground, sometimes called "Little Sandy Beach," is at the center of the Alcova Lake Recreation Area. This area hosts a sandy bay where children can swim and play at the playground. Beach volleyball is a popular pastime of teens and adults.
There is an adjacent picnic shelters and restrooms are located immediately to the south of the swim beach area.
Playground designed for children 5 to 12 years old. Adult supervision is recommended.

Parking, Restroom, Picnic Area, Congrete Sidewalk/Ramp into swim area.
Rules:
- NO LIFEGUARDS, Swim At Own Risk.
- Water skiing and boating within swim area is prohibited.
No Four-Wheelers (ATVs,MPVs) on beach or shoreline. Four-Wheelers must stay on paved or gravel roads.
- No Pets on beach
- No Glass Containers
- No building or tending fires.
No fishing is allowed from April 15 - October 15.
- CLEAN YOUR BOAT & TRAILER BEFORE entering Wyoming rivers and lakes. Currently none of the Wyoming reservoirs contain invasive mussels.

Public Boat Docks
Further down the bay are four day use boat docks that can be rented for $7 per day. A boat ramp and dock are adjacent to the public docks. Reservations for the public boat docks are encouraged and can be made by calling (307) 235-9311. Alcova Marina also offers overnight boat docks.
